　　甲骨文“日”字，象太阳之形，因为甲骨材质坚硬，所以有时候甲骨字会刻写成方形。本义是太阳。

　　The oracle bone script form of “日（rì）” is shaped like the sun.Due to the hardness of oracle bones，characters are sometimes carved in a square shape.The original meaning of “日” is the sun.
