　　甲骨文“王”字为竖着放置的斧钺之形，一般上部分加一横线饰笔，保留斧柄的残余形象。古代以斧钺象征王权，意为最高统治者，引申为王朝、一族或一类中的首领等。

　　The oracle bone script form of the Chinese character“王”（wáng） resembles the shape of a vertically placed axe, typically featuring a decorative horizontal stroke at the top, which retains the residual imagery of the axe handle. In ancient times，the axe symbolized sovereign power, representing the highest ruler. Its meaning expanded to denote leaders of dynasties, clans, or categories.
